Gleneden Beach Christian Church grew out of a small group of Christians who met for some time in the Gleneden Community Hall. Feeling a need for a building of their own, in February 1951, they purchased the present building. Originally the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Cary, who founded Gleneden Beach, it was built from lumber salvaged from a shipwreck in Boiler Bay. The building was enlarged and remodeled and has served well through the years. The mortgage was burned on September 2, 1962 and the church remains debt free. A sanctuary was begun in 1992 and was completed in 1993.
Gleneden Beach Christian Church is an independent, non-denominational, bible believing, Christ centered church. We observe the Lord's Supper each week and baptize by immersion.
As members of the body of Christ we believe faith, hope, and love, expressed through our worship of God, Christian living, and serving one another are the only answer to the problems and needs of the world today.
You are invited to share with us as we humbly seek to follow Jesus, that the kingdom of God may come and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
